Lazy days

Aviators - Ray-ban, cardigan - Topshop, snood - H&M, striped tee - Whistles, bag - Mulberry, jeans - Whistles, trainers - Converse.

A lazy easy day, filled with strolls on the beach and listing old clothes on eBay, eating pineapple and drinking tea. Such a beautiful day, there's nothing like living by the sea when the sun comes out. Not quite warm enough to go knit-less yet, but I reckon it's only a matter of time.

First blog of Spring!

Aviators - Ray-ban, leather jacket - Whistles, men's grey jumper - Primark, bag - Mulberry, skirt - Topshop, trainers - Converse.

Finally feeling inspired after a long, boring winter of black, layers, and ill fitting jeans. It seems I am a seasonal blogger - don't do winter dressing!

Discovered a couple of favourite blogs, which are simple yet effective (nataliehartleywears and stylescrapbook) and though my budget won't allow for such stylish posts as theirs, I'm going to give it a go again.

It's nice to be back.

Meet my new friend

I know I haven't posted for a while (I've been a very bad blogger, but have good intentions going forward, promise), but I had to share my new best friend with you. Meet Alexa... x

THE most exciting fashion collaboration

This is our first look at the much anticipated collaboration between H&M and Lanvin. Come November 23rd fashionistas will be queuing in their thousands to get their hands on these limited edition pieces. Staying true to Alber Elbaz's vision for Lanvin, so far it looks like the collection will feature his signature asymmetric sleeve and simple colour palette. I've got my eye on the tuxedo style dress second from the right.

Knits, Fur and Leather

Fairisle knit - £13 - Primark, tan belt - £28 - Whistles, leopard print bag - £40 - Topshop, leather panel leggings - £14.99 - H&M, fur-lined Reagan boots - £125 - Bertie

I've finally worked out how to use the timer on my camera and doesn't it make a difference?! I'm so pleased. It took a while to figure out the where to balance the camera (on the breakfast bar stool against a bottle of water), I still chopped my feet off a few times and I'd like to get rid of the kitchen tiles on the right hand side, but overall I think it is much improved from the iPhone in the bedroom mirror shots I was using before.

Outfit-wise I told you I'd be repeating variations of the Christmas knit over the coming weeks and months, and here's my second interpretation with added belt and leather. This Primark Fairisle knit was such a bargain, I think I will be stocking up on other colours and multiples too as I'm sure it will lose it's shape quite quickly, but for £13 you can't complain!

Christmas Knits

Knitted snowflake dress - £45 - Topshop, jeans - £40 - Topshop, leather jacket - £250 - Whistles, leopard print bag - £40 - Topshop, wedge boots - £160 - Kurt Geiger

Fairisle jumper - Dolce & Gabbana

Well after a short hiatus, I am back to blogging and feeling inspired. I've already stumbled across my go-to look for lazy days this winter: enter the fairisle Christmas knit, teamed with skinny jeans or leather trousers, ankle boots and a chunky snood once the weather gets colder. Dolce & Gabbana showcased this cosy look to perfection, teamed with fur and cinched with a belt, but the high street has some great offerings too. My Topshop knitted snowflake dress is a dead-ringer for D&G, and I picked up an even cheaper delight in Primark today which is identical to the monochrome number in the final picture. This is such an easy look to pull off, and will suit all figures and budgets - I can't wait to experiment with more variations (especially once I finally get my hands on some leather trousers; the perfect pair still eludes me).

Most Wanted

Dress - £65 - Topshop

Sorry, I've been a very bad blogger this week with my measley two posts. Things aren't going to improve either as I'm holidaying as of tomorrow. I'll get back on the case upon my return - I promise. In the mean time, here is a beautiful dress that I wish I could get my hands on for my hols, but it only came online today and it wouldn't get delivered in time, but here it is for your delectation. I wish there was a better Topshop in Brighton, it's pathetically small here and they never stock the good stuff hence my online obession.

Allaismalardık (that's Turkish for goodbye).
